Proof that some transport officials can't even count:

As an example of bureaucratic incompetence this one takes some beating.

On the outskirts of the village of Fornham St Genevieve just north of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk there is a roundabout. The roundabout is approached via the B1106. At the roundabout the road straight ahead is the B1106, the road to the left is the B1106, whilst the road to the right is the B1106.

Yes, two entirely separate roads, one running North-South, and one running East-West, have both been given the same number.

In order to avoid making themselves look completely stupid, the powers that be have left the road number off most of the signs. You have to travel some way along each road to discover that each is the B1106.

Maybe they should leave road numbering to the local primary school, they'd do a much better job.
