Be Smart With Smartphones
The ABD welcomes calls for more education on dangerous use of smartphones at the wheel but calls for caution to be exercised over enforcement.
ABD Chairman Brian Gregory explains:
"Since the ban on mobile phone use whilst driving, technology has moved on enormously. Smartphones have replaced stand alone satnav units for many people and useful aids such as apps for blackbox style video recording are available. Caution must be exercised so that kneejerk over-zealous enforcement of the law does not penalise safe use of such products."
